Roman Chamomile (Anthemis Noblis) yields an essential oil from its yellow flowers that is comforting and balancing. It has been used to soothe mild sprains. It also soothes insect bites and rashes.
Chamomile induces menses and can contribute to more bleeding. Chamomile brings on menses and is not indicated during pregnancy.
Chamomile blends well with Lemon and Lemongrass, Neroli, Bergamot, Geranium, Cedar wood, Clary sage, Oakmoss and Lavender, lending a fresh apple, herbal scent to a blend.
Dilute 1 drops in 1 cup of water or 1 tablespoon of carrier oil.
