Roman Chamomile (Anthemis Noblis) yields an essential oil from its yellow flowers that is comforting and balancing. It has been used to soothe mild sprains and tummy aches as a topical blend. Chamomile also soothes insect bites and rashes. Use it sparingly as a middle heart note in aromatherapy, 1 or 2 drops in a blend. The aroma is fresh and apple-like.
Chamomile induces menses and can contribute to more bleeding. Chamomile brings on menses and is not indicated during pregnancy.
Chamomile blends well with Lemon and Lemongrass, Neroli, Bergamot, Geranium, Cedar wood, Clary sage, Oakmoss and Lavender, lending a fresh apple, herbal scent to a blend.
Testimonial: "I love the aroma. It is so fresh, Pamela."
