Peru Balsam, Myroxylon pereirae, has a pleasant vanilla scent It is used as a vanilla extender,similar to Benzoin Styrax, in natural perfumery, without overpowering a blend. Peru Balsam blends well with patchouli, sandalwood, labdanum, ylang ylang extra and tuberose, lending a light floral dry out aroma,as it lifts throughout the day or night. It is used as a base scent in natural perfumery. I use it extensively in blends for women and people with weight and security issues.
