In Italian, this rose is called, Marchessa Bocella. It is a found rose, without exact known parentage. The fragrance is eloquent. Her origin is Damask, Hybrid Perpetual and Portland, a lovely light pink flower with 70 petals, 3.5 inches across. Marquise is in full bloom late spring  to early summer with occasional reblooms. She was previously known as Jacques Cartier and bred in France by Jean Desprez. This rose needs good circulation of air to prevent black spot, but can heal quickly with proper care. Her fragrance is worth any trouble.
