Clary yields its essential oil from flowers, flowering stalks and leaves, the odor is very unique and musky. "Green" clary sage smells very light and uplifting and is preferable in aromatherapy blends. In aromatic blends, Clary is a middle or heart note, blending well with many middle note aromas.
It blends best with lavender absolute, lavender essential oil and lavender concrete. The more clary is diluted, the sweeter the aroma. It also blends well with citrus, geranium, cardamom and sandalwood.
