Cinnamon leaf, Cinnamon zeylanicum, increases circulation, enhancing heart, muscles and joints;reduces flu symptoms, abdominal bloating, diarrhea and spasms. It is a favorite Mexican essential oil aiding heart and digestion.The aroma, from steam distillation, is spicy, warming and strengthening. I caution using large amounts of Cinnamon bark in blends for children, pregnant and lactating mothers. It can become toxic over time or in large doses, more than a few drops daily for moms and as less than a drop for children under 10. Cinnamon leaf is much milder and nontoxic than the bark. Check your sources for essential oils always.
