Silver Moon antique rose is the child of Cherokee Rose, a China Rose hybrid with Rosa Laevigata. It is classified as a Wichuria Hybrid, bred by Dr. Walter Van Fleet, 1910, U.S.A. The plant stretches 10 feet and stands 10-20 feet tall. Large, white, open flowers with golden stamens and a mild apple aroma blooms in mass  in spring or summer for at least 1 month. Attractive foliage is dark, leathery green with fall color and hips. This rambling climber is best with some winter protection in cold climates. Mine grows between 2 buildings where the property is low and protected from cold.
