How to make a unique aroma blend

Our old roses are in full bloom! In aromatherapy, roses carry the heart or middle note, which carries the greatest potential of a blend. The low and high notes chosen for the blend releases and entirely unique fragrance, lifting in harmonious layers of scent. It can be worn for fragrance alone or also used to nourish and beautify the skin.

Fill a 1-ounce glass amber bottle with a tight-fitting cap. Choose a carrier oil, such as sweet almond, marula or red raspberry oil. For rose blends, consider using a mild low note to extend the blend. Frankincense helps reduce the appearance of wrinkles and regenerates skin. Mysore Sandalwood is anti-inflammatory, soothing redness and acne prone skin. Ylang can be used as a low or high note. As a low note, it helps skin elasticity.

Always add the low note first in every blend. A general amount is 6 drops in a 1-ounce bottle. a blend of 2 or 3 low notes many be used. Keep the amount to 6 drops.

Next add 15 drops of rose or a combination of heart notes. Rose blends well with Jasmine, Gardenia and Rose Geranium. a spicier blend will have 2 drops of Cinnamon and /or Cardamom. Black Spruce adds a light woody aroma and is beneficial for bone integrity.

Lavender also blends well with rose. Provence lavender is the best choice. Add 3-4 drops, 1 drop at a time to support but not overwhelm the rose. A combination of heart notes will reduce the amount of rose oil to use.

The last essential oils added are high note, creating an alluring effect for the blend. High notes are the first scent noticed in a blend. Add 9 drops total. Citrus and black pepper blend well with rose. Neroli is the most fragrant, lifting the person from sad or anxious feelings. Bergamot is less expensive. Use the Bergapten free bergamot to avoid sun sensitivity for the skin. Ylang extra is a great choice, if not used as a low note.

Store the tightly capped blend in a cool dark place for 10 days, up to 30 days for the blend to completely become unique. Do not refrigerate.

This blend can also help hormone balance and soothe arthritic and muscle discomfort.

It should be your first choice for a romantic invitation. Be sure to wear a few drops on the neck and wrist.

Quality Rose Oil Skincare and Self Care

Rose oil products are the most natural way to improve skin. Properties are anti-inflammatory helping to calm eczema, rosacea. and dry or chapped skin. The oil is also anti-bacterial, reducing acne causing bacteria.

High quality rose skincare minimizes fine lines, evens skin tone and leaves skin smooth and silky to touch. Aging spots lighten and diminish over time.

Rose oil can also improve mood, increase relaxation and reduce nervousness. Topically, or by inhalation, it releases sphineterin, a hormone used to reduce headache, menstrual discomfort and increase "feel good" endorphins.

In hospitals over 44 years, I used our rose blends, such as Harmony blend, to reduce loneliness, fears, pain and breathing difficulties. The AromaHealth blends were also used before and after surgeries to reduce pain, help normalize blood pressure, breathing and increase recovery time. Loved ones also enjoyed rose blends to increase hope, reduce fears and exhaustion. Nurses and therapists wore the blends to reduce stress and increase stamina. They are courageous caretakers.

Rose oil and products carry the highest vibrational enhancing properties of all plants and essential oils. allow Aroma Health products to create a self-nurturing environment for you and loved ones.

Petite Fleur therapeutic aromablends reduce Nocebo effect

For the past 35 years Harmony and Relaxation therapeutic blends have been used successfully in patient care to reduce the Nocebo effect. The blends are used before and after chemotherapy and cancer treatment at Baylor Hospital's Healing Environment program in Dallas and Irving Texas Patient care began with bone marrow and stem cell patents and quickly spread throughout all departments, including speech therapy. Topical application allows the aromas to be used with other modalities.

The Nocebo effect occurs when expectations and negative suggestions cause symptoms or illness to occur. Nocebo effect is both biochemical and physiological, displaying with a variety of cues. Cortisol and histamine levels dramatically increase, targeting adrenal and hypothalamus involvement. Recently, Ted Kaptchuk at Harvard medical, proved Nocebo occurs without conscious awareness.

Therapeutic aroma blends lessen anxiety and unconscious responses. I have clinically used Harmony and Reduce Stress essences in the United Kingdom and USA for over 25 years to balance a full spectrum of stress. These aromas change brain chemistry within seconds affecting moods and fears. Given a repose from the stress response, the brain can adjust to homeostasis.
