Carrot Seed (Daucus carota) is an essential oil used in commercial skincare products as an emollient to soften the skin. It is lightweight and easily absorbed, with a light fragrance. In perfumery, it is used as a middle or heart note combined with more floral or spicy middle note essential oils.
In aroma blends, it combines well with citrus, rosemary, Palmarosa and spicy essential oils, like ginger or turmeric and tree aromas like cedarwood. It is not recommended for diffusing, but safe diluted topically.
