Tumeric, Curcuma longa essential oil, is antiseptic, anti inflammatory and anti carcinogenic. It is a natural diuretic. Curcumin, the active property in tumeric, assists healing breast cancer cells resistant to chemotherapy. It helps heal both estrogen positive and negative cancer cells and can be used with chemotherapy. I suggest taking Curcumin after the fist few days of treatment with medical programs. Always ask your physician before using any herbal during chemotherapy.
Curcumin is also responsive to premalignancies, osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis and pancreatic cancer,as an adjunct therapy. It raises cortisol and reduces inflammation. Irritable bowel and Alzheimer's also respond to the healing qualities of Tumeric. The topical use of this essential oil protects the liver from alcohol toxicity. Topical use may be applied on or near the affected area. When in doubt, massage onto the tummy or bottom of the feet. I do not recommend tumeric for gallstones because it increases bile flow. without medical supervision. It has been used during pregnancy for centuries. Consult your physician.
The fragrance is earthy, woody and a little spicy. The aroma is very strong by itself. It blends well with ginger and patchouli, which compete with the strong odor. I use it in the First Response aroma blend as an anti inflammatory. The essential oil is steam distilled from the roots. Tumeric is one of the most healing essential oils used today.
